SCUBA Camp (Ages 10 – 15)

SCUBA Camp is a one-week program that provides classroom, pool and open water instruction for a Jr. Open Water Diver Certification. All pool and classroom sessions are held at our private off-site pool and open water dives are conducted at popular local dive locations.

Sessions start daily at 9:00 AM and run until 3:00 PM (lunch will be provided). All classes are taught by certified SCUBA Open Water Diver Instructors. Parents are always welcome and encouraged to join students on their open water dives.

The cost of the SCUBA Camp includes textbook, video, and dive tables as well as the use of our SCUBA Equipment (tanks, regulators, buoyancy compensators, and wetsuits). Students must provide their own SCUBA quality mask, fins, snorkel, weights, weight belt, dive booties, dive bag, and dive log.

An orientation session is required when signing up for SCUBA Camp. A parent or legal guardian must be present too complete the paper work and at this time the student can be professionally fitted for their personal SCUBA gear.

SCUBA Camp Curriculum

Ages: 10 – 15
Course Length: 1 week (Monday – Friday)
Hours: 9 AM – 3 PM
Cost: $399.00/week per child/teen
Materials Needed: SCUBA quality mask, fins, snorkel, weights, weight belt, booties, dive bag, and log book.
Materials Provided: Open Water Diver Kit, use of buoyancy compensators, regulators, tanks, wetsuits, and a t-shirt. Lunch will also be provided.
Curriculum: Classroom, pool and open water instruction for a Jr. Open Water SCUBA Certification. Children and teens will also learn about the underwater environment and about the Belize culture.


Scuba Rangers Kids Club

SCUBA Rangers is an activity program designed to introduce youngsters ages 8 and older to the sport of SCUBA diving. Rangers learn to SCUBA dive in a pool with dive equipment, play underwater games and become a member of the SCUBA Rangers Kids Club.

The cost of the Ranger program includes the textbook, workbook, video and logbook, use of our SCUBA gear (buoyancy compensators, regulators, tanks, and wetsuits), lunch and a really cool SCUBA Ranger t-shirt.

Rangers will need to provide their personal gear, such as: SCUBA quality mask, fins, snorkel, boots, and dive bag.

An orientation session is required when signing up for the Ranger’s program. A parent or legal guardian must be present to complete the paperwork and at this time, we can professionally fit the new Ranger with their personal dive equipment.

Ranger classes are held at our off-site, private pool. Classes are taught by certified SCUBA Open Water Diver Instructors that have completed the SCUBA Rangers Instructors program and submitted to a background search. Parents, family, and friends are always welcome and encouraged to attend Rangers sessions.

SCUBA Rangers Program

Includes: SCUBA Rangers Kit (textbook, workbook, video, and logbook), use of tanks, regulators, buoyancy compensators, wetsuits, a really cool t-shirt, and lunch.

Level 1: Red Ranger Water safety techniques, swimming, and snorkeling skills.
Level 2: White Ranger Snorkel review and introduction of SCUBA Equipment.
Level 3: Blue Ranger More SCUBA Skills and underwater photography.
Level 4: Silver Ranger More SCUBA fun and games.
Level 5: Demo Ranger Demo Ranger is the highlight of the program because Rangers proudly demonstrate skills to parents, family, and friends.

Day 1 Curriculum
9:00 AM – Noon Chapters 1 & 2
Noon – 1:00 AM Lunch
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Introduce snorkel & SCUBA gear, gear set-up, swim test, snorkeling, buoyancy check, regulator retrieval & clearing, mask clearing, free time in pool.
Day 2 Curriculum
9:00 AM – Noon Chapters 3 & 4
Noon – 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Review of regulator and mask cleaning, bc removal & replacement, weight belt removal & replacement, neutral buoyancy exercises, navigation free time in pool.
Day 3 Curriculum
9:00 AM - Noon Chapter 5 & 6
Noon – 1:00 PM Lunch
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Review of SCUBA Skills, self aid skills, free time in pool.
Day 4 Curriculum
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Open Water Dives 1 – 3
